BRITTANY KOHLER

Brittany is a dance artist based in Auckland, Aotearoa. She is a co-founder and member of contemporary dance company Dance Plant Collective and holds a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts in Contemporary Dance from Unitec Institute of Technology. Since graduating in 2016, Brittany has worked predominantly with Dance Plant Collective on award-winning shows such as ‘MEAT’ and ‘Desperate Late Night Energy’, festival performances such as ‘LITE MOVES’ for LUMA Festival 2019, and short dance films such as ‘Magnificent Remains’ for Tempo Dance Festival 2020. Brittany’s most recent performance was ‘New Dance Group’, Footnote NZ Dance’s 2020 ChoreoCo season. Brittany’s current interests lie in improvisation practices, dance-film and interdisciplinary performance. She is also working in the field of Dance Movement Therapy and is currently undergoing DMT training.
