Brittany Kohler is an Auckland-based contemporary dance artist.  She trained in ballet, contemporary and jazz before studying a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts: contemporary dance major at Unitec Institute of Technology 2014-2016. Brittany worked with NZ’s leading practitioners during her training, and now works as a dancer, choreographer and teacher with Dance Plant Collective and independently. She has collaborated on the company’s full-length works and projects, co-choreographing ‘Rituals of Similarity’ for ‘The Cost of Arms and Legs’ winning 'Best Newcomer' at Auckland Fringe 2018 and a redeveloped version for Short & Sweet 2018, being awarded the DANZ choreographic mentorship. In addition, she has performed in the collectives successful works such as ‘MEAT’ and ‘Desperate Late Night Energy’. Independently, Brittany works in dance therapy and as a qualified Pilates instructor.
